Jumptown is een achtkoppige Amsterdamse band die de muziek uit de ballrooms en rokerige nachtclubs naar de 21e eeuw brengt. Op bekende en obscure nummers uit de swing, rhythm ’n blues, jump blues en (Northern) soul blijft zelfs de grootste hark niet meer stilzitten. Doe de Lindy Hop, de Jive, de Funky Chicken …. of lekker je eigen moves. No disco tonight, maar gruwelijk dansbaar door de swingende ritmesectie, de fonkelende gitaar, de vette blazers en de fluwelen zang. Hét recept voor eens een ander dansfeestje.

Jumptown is an eight-piece Amsterdam based music collective that takes the sounds from the ballrooms and smoky nightclubs to the 21st century. Well-known and obscure swing, rhythm ’n blues, jump blues and (Northern) soul songs will make even the biggest square boogie. Do the Lindy Hop, the Jive, the Funky Chicken…. or lay down your own creative moves.
